Cookie policy

Effective date: 17 September 2026

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device, and which your browser then sends back to that website on later requests. Cookies are how sites recognise a returning visitor, keep someone signed in, or — most commonly — record behaviour for measurement and advertising.

This site sets no cookies

Veroworks sets no cookies of its own, and no third party is permitted to set one through it. There is no analytics cookie, no advertising or retargeting cookie, no tracking pixel, no session identifier, no social media embed and no preference cookie. If you inspect the storage for this site in your browser's developer tools, you will find it empty, and it stays empty however many pages you read.

The reason there is nothing to store is that the site does nothing that would need it. There is no account to stay signed in to, no form whose contents must persist, no basket, no personalised content and no measurement of any kind.

There is no consent banner, and that is deliberate

Because nothing is stored on your device, there is nothing for you to consent to, and so no consent banner appears anywhere on this site. A "we use cookies" strip on a site that sets no cookies would be a false statement about its own behaviour, and it would also train readers to dismiss a notice that ought to mean something.

What happens instead

Two things happen that are worth stating, because a policy that describes only what does not happen is incomplete.

Server logs. The provider hosting this site records ordinary technical logs of each request: the IP address, the user agent string, the URL requested, the response status and the timestamp. These are produced by the web server rather than by anything on the page, they are not cookies, and nothing is written to your device. They are used to keep the site running and secure, and they are retained for up to 90 days. The privacy policy covers them in full.

No external requests at all. Every file needed to display this site — the page, the single stylesheet, the single script — comes from this domain. There is no content delivery network, no hosted font service, no embedded video, no external image and no remote library. The typefaces are ones already present on your device. This means no other company learns that you visited, because no other company's server is contacted while you read.

No other device storage either

The same applies to every other mechanism a site can use to keep something on your device or recognise it. Veroworks uses no localStorage, no sessionStorage, no IndexedDB, no cache-based identifiers and no browser fingerprinting of any kind. The small script that runs on these pages does two things — collapses the navigation on narrow screens and opens or closes the questions on one page — and it keeps no record of either, which is why the menu does not remember its state between pages.

Links to other websites

This site links to other websites, including Australian government bodies and, on two pages, an affiliate link to a game publisher. Those links are ordinary navigation: nothing is set on your device before you click, and following one takes you to a site with its own cookies and its own policy, which applies from the moment you arrive there. This policy covers only what happens on veroworks.online.

Controlling cookies in your browser anyway

Even though this site gives your browser nothing to store, it is worth knowing where those controls are for the rest of the web. Every major browser lets you view the cookies stored for a site, delete them individually or in bulk, block third-party cookies, and clear everything when the browser closes. The settings sit under Privacy or Privacy and Security in Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari, and mobile browsers carry the same controls in their own settings apps. Blocking or clearing cookies has no effect on this site, which will work identically.

If this ever changes

If a cookie, a third-party script or any other form of device storage is ever introduced to this site, this page will be rewritten to describe exactly what is set and why, and a working consent mechanism will be in place before the first one is set — not afterwards. The effective date above is the way to check whether that has happened.

Questions

Anything about this policy can be raised with the publisher, MV Ouběnická stavební s.r.o., Lodžská 401/13, Bohnice, 181 00 Praha 8, Czech Republic, at info@veroworks.online. If you believe something on this site is storing data on your device, report it — that would be a fault, and it would be fixed.
